Extremely Durable
Made with a strong maple body, the Catapult Cruzer airplane isn’t some cheap piece of junk.
We went through several choices of wood before finally landing on maple. strong, light and straight- the perfect combination for a good flight.
No Batteries Needed
You may have noticed the word Catapult is in the name. It’s not by accident. The Catapult Cruzer works from a launch cord – which never stops working.
REALLY, REALLY, FUN
Even without using batteries, the Catapult Cruzer will amaze with it’s speed and distance, which can go upt to 50′ high and as far as a football field!
As you can see, it’s not just fun for kids. We’ve had adults, and even teenagers play with them.
History of the Cruzer
The Catapult Cruzers were started by a couple of Cruzer Heads by the name of Curt and Roger. Living in Wichita, Kansas, the Aircraft Capital of the World, they both had spent most of thier careers working for different aircraft manufacturers. They hoped to put some of what they learned at companies like Cessna, Learjet, and Boeing, into the launching of this new business.
The original design of the plane came about when Curt and some other aircraft mechanics decided to see if they could turn a cleaning brush into an airplane, but that’s a story for another time.
Curt brought the airplane home and began flying it outside with his son. They had a blast together. Now married and starting his own family, Curt’s son still remembers the fun they had flying together. It is truly our hope that this product will accomplish that same thing today, get fathers and sons (or daughters) outside together to just have some fun in the fresh air.
Today
Eventually the original Cruzerheads decided to retire, and sold the company to their Graphic Designer, Chris Allen. Chris decided to modify the Cruzer in a way that helps with consistency and ease of creation and use. He then joined forces with Eric Shuff, who has a lot of experience with making businesses more efficient, so we can make happier customers.
Happy Flying!!!
